Report On Rabindra Jayanti Celebration Date: 14th& 15th May,2019 Rabindra Jayanti is the day which makes the birth anniversary of the laureate as well as literato Rabindranath Tagore. It is celebrated throughout the country on the auspicious 25th day of the bengali month of Baishakh. Accordingly, 9th May was the date for commemorating the 159th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore in our school but we could not arrange to celebrate the day on account of various inconveniences. So Rabindra Jayanti celebration was held in our school premises later on 14th and 15th May, 2019. The event was celebrated in four phases (On 14th May 1st& 2nd Phase and On 15th May 3rd&4th; phase) with various cultural competitions. The whole program was hosted by the students of different classes with their extreme efficiency. The program began with the lightening of Diya by the Executive Director Ma�am, Principal Sir & Academic In-Charge. It was followed by the garlanding and flower offering to Kavi Guru with great respect and honour. Our Executive Director delivered a valuable speech on the �Holy Day� followed by various programs. The programs are as follows: 1. Opening Dance by students. 2. Inter House Group Song Competition (I - III) 3. Class Performances (I, II & III separately) 4. Inter Section Vernacular poem Recitation Competition (I - III) 5. Inter House Group Song Competition (IV & V) 6. Class performances (IV & V Separately) 7. Inter Section Recitation competition (IV & V) 8. Inter House Dance Competition (VI & VII) 9. Inter House Dance Competition (VIII & IX) 10. Inter House Drama Competition (X - XII) 11. Musical & Visual Composite portrait of Rabindranath Tagore by students. 12. Vote of Thanks The program was indeed very successful where students were showcased their latent talents and showed immense respect to Guru Dev - Rabindranath Tagore. The program was concluded depicting the enormous range of Tagore�s creation by a worthy and commendable speech of the Principal of the institution.
