Extracurricular activities develop the talents, interests and passions of an individual. They learn the practical skills which complements the main syllabi activities. These activities incorporate in the students the ‘Art of living and working together’. These help to groom in the students. The sense of goal setting, team work time management.

At Olivia, students are exposed to ample extracurricular activities which give them an opportunity to exhibit their non- academic potentials.

Annual Celebrations/ Activities

Annual concert –

A grand platform is presented to the children to bloom up their hidden talents and potentials to reach the zenith of creativity and self expressions on the Annual Day of the school.

A reflection of sports activity and the student’s achievements is organised every year as Sports day and Annual House day.

c) Excursion and Educational Visit

Children learn many things from the neighbourhood community resources. This includes people, places and things found in the community which can facilitate learning. Far this the child should have real life experiences. Our programme includes Excursions and educational visits to all the learning centres in the vicinity like Power Stations, Factories, etc. as its learning centres.

d) Inter school/ National/ International Events.

Children are simulated and encouraged to take part in these activities and intrersicly motivated to create an intense desire to be competent and self- determined.

DAILY ACTIVITIES FOR MORAL UPLIFMENT/ INCREASING CONCENTRATION ACHIEVING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

a) Assembly

To inculcate a high sense of National integrity and Universal brotherhood, each working day in the school starts with morning assembly including school prayer, devotional and patriotic songs. Stress is also laid on the moral development of the students. News reading, reciting poems with full actions, moral teaching and singing songs in chorus are the remarkable features of the morning assembly. Every week is assigned for one moral activity. Different and special days are celebrated like World Earth day, Vanmahatsav, World Aids day etc. Special Assemblies on school days and festival celebration are important features of the assembly.

b) Yoga and meditation

Yoga is a science of integraty body, mind and soul. This is a daily chore at Olivia. The child begin his daily with meditation followed up by the diffuse protocols of yoga planned up day use. It enhances the concentration level of the child, and gives a healthy mind to understand the things analyse and apply in practises.

c) Brain Storming Session

This is a cumpulsory brain exercise done regularly to enhance the thinking skill of the children.

d) Value Education

Stress is being laid on value education to inculcate moral value and Indian heritage among the students. It is developed through reciting stories, shlokas, Yoga and celebrating the birth anniversaries of saints, scholars and great leaders.

STUDENTS WORKSHOP

The students learning center of O.E.E.S offers workshop sessions for students to provide an interactive way to demonstrate a difficult concept or method to a large group of students and even through one-on-one session to address the need. These workshops are organised by Global Educational Institutes to supplement course or programme curriculum. To name a few organised every year is the Examination Motivation Workshop, Career Counceling Workshop, POSCO Workshop, Robotics Workshop etc.

FOUNDATION COURSES

Students from classes VI to XII are provided with the opportunity of the foundation courses that aims at raising the IQ/ Mental ability of the students and develops logical thinking required for success in various competitive exams like National and International Olympiads, NEET, JEE (Main), JEE (Advanced) etc.
